Made the mistake of drinking a cola nuke and it's been a while since my next last save. Currently just hit 6 rad and I was wondering if that's a low amount I can just wait it out as I'm not wasting $800 for that low rad to get rid of it via a RadAway. I'm only level 4 and in the Hub.

Also, is sleeping better/more effective than resting?

Wait, Nuka-Colas give you radiation?

Could you elaborate please? It gave me 3 rad then it rose to 6. I reloaded so the problem isn't there anymore but it still bothered me that I to use a third of my money just to get it away in case I can't rest it away.

I was simply trying to say that I drank a lot of them (Around 100 caps worth). Finding an easier way to get rid of rads would be helpful to me also.
According to the wikia there are 3 ways to reduce radiation, 2 of which are too expensive for me and the last I have no idea how to get to, I'm guessing it's a late-game feature.

You should likely purchase a Geiger counter in case you've drunk that many. I found one available at General Store in The Hub and one at Vance, the shady drug dealer, to the upper-right corner of The Hub. At 30% barter and 5 Charisma they were sold for about 800 caps I believe.

You need like 1000 rads to die, rad away isn't needed for such a low dose.
More importantly, save before you use rad away it is potentially addictive (rad-x is not)

How does addiction works? Will I lose HP/stats if I don't "satisfy" it?

With my mod, yes. Vanilla Fallout and all other mods, no.

On the other hand, they increase Sequence for a few minutes, so I think it's a decent trade to get extra combat initiative from that yummy sugar-rush.

In next release they'll have some other minor positive effects as well to further balance the rads.

I don't see it as an issue honestly, since in vanilla and all other mods they did absolutely nothing. They existed to have 10% chance of addiction that also did nothing. Weeee.
