I'm trying to load the high resolution patch and believe it ought to show on the "Options" screen before you enter the game however there is no "options" option on the opening screen unlike fallout 2 which I've got working fine..
What am I doing wrong?
Any help appreciated
PS, just discovered GOG great work guys!!

Hi,
When you fire up the game you have several buttons: Intro, New Game, Load Game, Options, etc.
Click on 'Options' and if you installed the Hi Res patch, there should be a small button named 'SCRN' (top and center).
Is that what you're looking for ?

That's how it works on Fallout 1 aswell.
I have it installed right now, with the Hi Res patch, and i have the Options button on the menu.
Are you pointing the patch installer to the right folder ?
After running the Fallout1_high_resolution_patch_v2.1.exe, did you go to the Fallout 1 folder to run the "f1_res_patcher.exe" file?

Intro
New Game
Load Game
Credits
Exit
No sign of

Don't worry about the options button before installing the patch.
Double click the Fallout1_high_resolution_patch_v2.1.exe. Click on the browse button and find the fallout folder. Highlight it and click ok.
After that go into your fallout folder and double click the f1_res_patcher.exe
After that when you fire the game the options button should be there.
Edit : i just went into my folder to double check, and after running the patch, you have to go into your folder and double click the f1_res_patcher.exe. I said falloutw.exe before but that's wrong. Sorry for the mix up. I corrected that info above.
