So, I've been having troubles with Fallout 1 & 2, specifically crashing during saving. I got some help in a thread about 2 or so months ago, and what was suggested was the patches and running it in administrator mode. Both worked for a while, until it started to happen again. Basically, I need a PERMANENT fix, and the patches didn't help.

Here the thread: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/fallout_series/fallout_12_crashing_during_savingloading

I can post my specs if you want me to.
Try installing the game to a different folder than program files, maybe even disable UAC.

Have you tried reinstalling the games and applying the patches/restoration project again?

And yeah specs would be nice.
I have already installed the restoration patch. It didn't really seem to fix anything, other than a few unnoticeable bugs.
Specs:
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium OS
X86-based PC(System Type)
AMD Phenom(tm) 8550 Triple-Core Processor, 2200 Mhz, 3 Core(s)
32 bit
I don't really know if I missed anything. I haven't really posted my Specs before, so if I missed something, tell me.

Does any one have any ideas? I still haven't found a solution and they're both great games.
What happens if you install the games without the patches?
Is your game still crashing?
The game still crashes without the patches, yeah. That's what the original problem was. I've been told to install the patches several times, so I did, but it never fixed the problem.
Anyone got a solution?
God damn it, bump.
