Original Falche won't work with GOG's version of the game. Anyone got a working version? I see there's a working version for Falche2 for their Fallout 2 which works great. Any help would be much appreciated.
it does work, you ought to use the search function.
you have to point falche the the directory above the save file directory.
read this thread for details

I was able to get FALCHE to work for F1 just fine as well, and it saved my changes when I tested it.

Thanks, guys....
No problem, opticfreeze!
Just an update - this editor may or may not have contributed to my problems, but I just wanted to note that around the time I edited with FALCHE, I started having a lot of game crashes. I don't want to say that it was or was not directly because of using FALCHE, because I honestly don't know at this point, but I do want to recommend that you use caution and back up your saves and your character profiles before you edit, just in case.

Wow, what a blast from the past.

Well, that's what I recall FALCHE being: a character editor :)

A better more capable editor would be F1SE

Is the only thing I could find and it may not work with a patched version, but it might.
I don't know anything about macs.

Avery nice find but that would be for the original mac release back in the 90s and it would be for the PowerPC based computers running the system software of that era.

osX runs on the intel processor based macs that began to be introduced about ten years ago. It's an apples and oranges sort of thing

I tried to use wine to run FALCHE but I ended up corrupting the files I messed with so I am off to reinstall while I wait for someone expert in getting these cross platform things to work and then put up a step by step guide for dummies like me to get it to work
