I just started playing Fallout 2 for the 1st time and upon getting to Arroyo ALL villagers are immediately hostile. Is it because I killed that Temple Guard to get the Key?
I tried saving before fighting him but even when I load the save it picks up with the guard hostile to me even though I saved BEFORE talking to him.
Also, all the cutscenes have this weird color pixelation deal. The white numbers in-game are also messed up as well and the top of the little text box in the lower left corner.
Sorry if this has been asked before...I would appreciate any help. THANKS

If by Temple Guard you mean cameron then yes killing him will cause the village to go hostile. It sounds like your save messed up though so try restarting the game from the beginning, I know the temple is annoying but it should only take about 10 mins to get through it. Then if you fight him you can weaken him up to get the key but don't actually kill him.
As for colours messing up have you tried any of the sugestions in the threads about it?

Also if your on windows 7 right clicking the desktop and opening the screen resolution window and just leaving that open in the background has been known to fix some colour issues with some old games.
Thanks Ralackk!
I re-started the Temple and decided just to pickpocket Cameron instead....got more xp for it too. All is well in Arroyo.
As for the weird color deal I used the desktop background suggestion from the 1st thread you linked and it worked just fine, all better now. I guess having a picture for my desktop bleeds through into the game somehow messing with the color...idk but it worked.
Thanks again....I do have ONE more question though.
How can you tell what guns fall into what category? I just stole a Light Machine Gun(7.62) from Chinatown and I figure it counts as Small Guns but I'm not sure. Is there a way to tell?

Most of the time you just tell by what it looks like though all energy weapons will use fuel cells and batterys.

covers every gun in the game so if your not sure just look it up on there.
