LordNighthawk: Did you really install the update or did galaxy just download stuff? The patches don´t get applied automatically, you have to start folon in gog galaxy and on the window that pops up initiate the update process. Can take a while.
6453210: Thanks for the reply.
I watched the download bar move across and It said it downloaded something and completed, I thought it had installed it, maybe it didnt as you say. I was playing the game started by Galaxy just before the update arrived.
However, now when I open Galaxy, select FO-Lon and click Play the mouse cursor flickers for a few seconds but nothing happens, no further menu or choices 'pop up' to click. I cant see [Update] anywhere.
I right-click the game and check for updates it reports there are no updates available.
If I open file manager in windows and double click the F4se_loader the game appears to start but at the menu if I click Continue or load any of my previous saves it very soon crashes. However by using the F4se_loader I can start a new game from scratch and that seems to run OK.
How do I tell which update I actually have? Or assuming it has just downloaded how can I now install it if the Galaxy menu does pop up correctly?
Navigate to the Fallout London install directory, not the Fallout 4 GOTY directory. There will be an exe file called installer.exe. Run that. That should bring up the launcher for Fallout London, where you choose update or play. Click update.
Once the update is done, you need to navigate to the Fallout 4 GOTY install directory, then go into the Data subdirectory and run "LondonWorldSpace - ClearUp.bat". That is a batch file that will clean up the installation folder after the update. (Really, it is removing the BakaScrapHeap script memory extender plugin for the Fallout 4 Script Extender, which was causing a lot of crashes).
Should be good to go after doing these steps.
