In the original version of Falcon 4.0 that shipped over a decade ago, there were several videos that played upon launch of the game. The first was the lengthy intro video, which set the stage for the Second Korean War you fight in the campaign.
As well, there were introductory videos that played when you clicked on each operation listed in the Campaign section. These videos also gave you further background on the operation you are playing in. In addition to this, several other videos would play as the campaign would progress, in the operation you selected. One that I recalled, informed you that the Russian Air Force was getting involved in the fight with North Korea, forcing you to have to face off against them.
If possible, it would be nice for GOG to restore these videos, so you can play the game as it was originally intended. As far as I can tell, none of these videos appear when you start the game, or begin the operation. The game as is, is still great and is playable. But fans are going to be missing out on some of the things the designers originally intended to be viewed in the game.
UPDATE: Upon closer inspection of the game folder, the videos do exist. However, as far as I can tell, none of them are playing within the game. GOG, any ideas as to why this is happening?
