Hi all,

I've spent a couple of hours looking into this but all the solutions I've found aren't working.

I've tried "sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Factorio.app"

I've reinstalled the game.

I've reinstalled GOG Galaxy, and then reinstalled the game.

All to no avail.

I'm on macOS 13.0.1 on a MacBook Air with the Apple M1 chip.

I solved this in the end by Ctrl-Clicking the app in Finder and clicking "open".

The message no longer shows when launching from GOG Galaxy.

It is unfortunate that you had to solve this by disabling core macOS security features.

I have the same problem and I just computed that sha256 hash of the downloaded .pkg file.

This hash is not present on the official hash list on https://www.factorio.com/download/sha256sums/

This is quite concerning...

`sha2 factorio_enUS_1_1_107_.pkg
SHA-256 (factorio_enUS_1_1_107_.pkg) = 60e9050e297db4b9a0775f4009621694d32071c3eb01ace9dfa93aa71972e997
SHA-384 (factorio_enUS_1_1_107_.pkg) = 689db8927da3b1a16404004dbd9c8511963ea8e34b37c903bd2901031eae1ad099a57afa93d65f0d5ed1e549f92902eb
SHA-512 (factorio_enUS_1_1_107_.pkg) = f4031983933709fa4c9b8c48b47a92871c1fb595961606bfcbe18e954a0941dc51526487ae59d550ed9e6e985d1e1cb3130e469f34cd67 928b35d02e3cd41200`

I would be thankful if someone know how to actually fix this in a secure manner.

Also, it is a bit odd that a .dmg file is seemingly not available for Factorio on gog.com when it is available on the official website (see sha256sum list above).

In the settings app on MacOS, go to Privacy and Security. Scroll down to see that Gatekeeper is keeping Factorio from opening and click to allow.
