I use Linux wine and everything seems to work except graphic badly flickers. It's not the game that is slow.
I tried downloading 1.04.1 patch but it says it cannot find Faces of War installation. Version 1.04.1 readme says it improves frame rate dramatically.
Does gog version already have patched version 1.04.1? Otherwise, how do i patch it?
Post: Never mind about 1.04.1 patch, the menu screen shows the gog version is already 1.04.1. It must be wine issue, so I'll check there instead.
Post 2: Ok, found the solution: override with native d3dx9_27.dll instead of d3dx9_36.dll,, as found in the solution in one of older test cases.
