In the battle over the village of Dun Phris I decided to side with the village instead of siding with either of the two factions, because I thought that would be the fastest way into open war and taking over the whole island.

Now after that quest is done, all my other quests got resolved and it seems like there is nothing more to do on the map other than waiting for the time to run out?
Can anyone tell me if I'm missing some point to pick back up on the main quest, or did I screw myself by screwing over tboth the Picts and Northumbrians?

It means you haven't chosen sides (Picts or Angles), so the only option, if your power score is 100 or more, is to go home and wrap things up.
Damn, that seems strange.

The whole reason to not choosing a side was that I just take over the whole place instead. And now I cant do that?

The way to take over the whole place is to choose sides and then double-cross.
Guess I DID fuck up then.. The game didnt do the best job of explaining those choices..

Actually, if you have enough power you can take everything over, without choosing one of the "main" sides. Choose to "keep Dun Phris neutral" (i.e. fight for Dun Phris, not try to take it over) and they'll effectively let you run the place - and you can take over everything else as well.

I think you need to have a chat with that guy on that island that you've taken over - he's sort-of in charge of your growing army there.

I'm actually pretty sure that you can't actually take over everything (even via double-cross) if you don't have over 100 power, so either way you definitely need 100 power to win via conquest...
