I have a saved game that crashes the game whenever I load it exactly in 7 seconds from the load. I have an earlyer saved game of the same base that also crashes the game but after a longer period of time aprox 5 minutes. The 2 saved games crash exactly at the same time whenever I load them making the continuation of that base impossible. I have also noticed that if ie has lots of contents open (and use up to 1-1.5 gb of the 4 I have) it crashes... The crash was not influenced in any way by processor speed gpu speeds nothing helped. Please do help, I can provide the saved game data files if you like. does the game have a problem with multiple cores systems?
Setting the affinity doesn't help either - looks more like a software error :|

This question / problem has been solved by Razzoulimage
"Evil Genius only supports AGP cards (i.e. min spec: 16MB AGP 3D Video Card).
We do not support integrated 16 Meg 3D Video Cards. "
Some know issues for the game is here

Solution:
Try these things
1. Reinstall your game, but keep your saves.
2. Disable one of your cores. You can do this by going to device manager.
( For windows 7) Click on Devices and Printers, then right-click on your computer and choose System Properties, then Device manager.
3. Try a new game
--It would also help if you post your system specs--
Hi my system specs are as folows:
(After I ran into troubles I turned back everything to stock)
AMD Phenom II x2 550 (3.1 ghz)
Gigabyte MA770-UD3 bios update FBd
ATI Radeon HD4850 (500/750) 512 mb
4 GB ram (only 3.25 accessible by OS)
Windows XP pro SP 3
(paging is set to 10gb so I don't think that's an issue either)
I will make an update to W7 and will try your sollution, Interestingly enough this happens only to that particular game, been playing the game since and before and as long as I don't use that particular save game the game plays just fine. I don't think its a hardware issue since the gpu doesn't even break a sweat and the cpu works on 90-100% on only one core... Downclocking/overclocking didn't do any diference, at precisely the same moment it breaks up nomatter what.
I couldn't dispable 1 core from windows, I think I can disable it from the bios but I don't think I'm going to try thatone out for the moment. I'll probably try your sollution after I install W7
My best guess is that you have a corrupted file that crashes your game when you get to a point in the story.
Reinstall your game and see what happens. (Remember to allow GoG to do the file check before you install your game.)

Which probably means that you have a corrupt savegame and not some hardware issue or even a game issue. Saves do get corrupted sometimes, for many games, looks like that's what happened there.
Thank you all for your help, I've set Razzouls answer as the sollution as he was the first to answer.
Maily I wanted to know if this is a common problem and if anybody else is experienceing it on a regular basis ... the game frose sometime at the beginning and maybe then it corrupted the gamefile...
