Hi Guys,

I enjoyed ES1, but ended up trying more of X4 because I wanted a larger set of mission options than just hyperspace jumps, scavenging and next jump. Yet X4 left me underwhelmed with it's combat and visuals.

So, I'm really interested in ES2, but I wonder:

1) Does the hand-crafted, "open world" (I understand it's sectors) approach work for replayability? Is it large enough?

2) Do we get to partner up with some AI on some missions, or trough other features? It would be nice to not feel like fighting solo all the time, rather be nice if we could join a faction or such.

Thanks for any answers you might have.

Hi Colonel,

I am highly inclined to simply say 'yes' on the first one, but since I am probably highly biased as well, I will leave this question to be answered by some one else ;) What I can say though is that we will continue to add more content and that we always try to encourage different play styles. We also plan on adding late game content called 'rifts' that will be in some way similar to the game loop of ES1.

Regarding your second question: There will be (EDIT: There is already at least one) quests where AI companions will assist you during scripted mission. But those will be rather the exception. Better having the AI used sparingly then having an buddy who will always blow your cover or run in his own death.

Hi Ingmar (servus aus Wien),

Encouraging to see the devs active here. I'll let you polish and add some more stuff, then definitley give it a go.

Also, my deep appreciation for yet again selecting GOG as Day1 store. Wish we had more companies releasing their top grade stuff here.
