playtime: couple of hours;

-Changing keybinds for controller is a chore, since u sometimes bind and immediately after it switches menu, losing all the changed binds.

-M+K is unplayable without gradual mouse driven steering atm

-Mousecursor flickering on screen after using M then controller

-green border left and right side of screen just on the edge 1080p, fullscreen

-suggestion (sug): item comparison via click->highlight,click->highlight etc..->compare; same for 'send to storage', 'sell' etc.

-sug: less quality of life, more immersion (ppl complaining about quick flight: ignore-->give background story about spaceflight, speeds, distances; screentips or even immersive minigames/audiofiles etc. while flying) / (ppl complaining about little storage: ignore-->give background about storage room in base, storage upgrades; make 'sell-runs' (storagetrash->trader) worthwhile and rewarding with events, mingames, interactions) and so on; gameplay can be arcady, immersion is still the bread and butter of every game with graphics this nice, otherwise all this work is wasted.

-HUD symbols are cluttering (close spaced enemy vessels eg) and blocking vision (i want to see those lovely containers drifting in space, not some 2D ugly symbol). The Witcher 3 also suffered from this, MODs made it better, but why not try to find a solution here as long as its still in dev? sug: completely delete all HUD elements from basic screen, use the gorgeous graphics to make the player spot things (pretty well done already, but i would like even more extreme), give options to activate CERTAIN HUDelements (i want to fight? activate enemy vessel targeting. i want to spot loot? activate loot HUDelements.); also possible: activate HUD only when sitting in cockpit, clearly recognizable as futuristic screen implements/holograms (cockpit view already with small vision window, maybe widen it, else its unplayable)

thats it for now, the longer i play, the more i will add here. since the graphics are so nice and the flight already feels fun, there is great potential, thumbs up

playtime: 13 hours;

- Moving in tight spaces (clipping camera with bodyborders im guessing) makes you see through the bodies (asteroids, spacestations)

- 'yours' needs to be replaced with 'your' in the modify screen (requirement descriptions)

- gameplay of killing vessels is unimmersive (difference between drones/piloted vessels?)

- looting gameplay loop is bad. you learn to steer towards the floating loot pretty soon, after that it's just tiresome (maybe theres an AOE tractor beam loot upgrade i ahvent seen yet?)

- sug: devs play 20hours of XWing:Alliance (from 1999 or so......). Small things like the trophies from each mission in ur quarters make the game so much more charming and immersive. chatter between pilots on comms shouldnt be hard to integrate and is sorely missing (aside from scripted scenes, and the rare triumpant 'YES' from alex)

- when there is a clump of 3 vessels coming at you it's impossible to lock on the one you want (afaik), since its so cluttered, in general i can't see the difference between an enemy im looking at and a locked on enemy

- sug: move the HUD symbols from the center a litte farther away (maybe even WoW style to the right lower corner or something), and the HUD symbols from loot etc. which are not visible from the border of the screen (where they are cluttering with shiphealth, consumables, etc..) towards the center--> maybe a HUD 'screen display'/'hologram'/similar as an ellipsoid around your firing cursor, in the middle of screen border and firing cursor, it needs to be easily (automatically in the best case!) toggled on and off to allow for the view of the awesome space ambience while flying around and functionality while fighting/looting/searching/puzzling/etc - - the reason this is important to me right now is that the main detriment of fun for me atm is that im getting tired while playing: my brain needs to juggle flying in 3D space while constantly checking for HUD symbols that are flying around everywhere.

- sug: combine upgrades of the ship with HUD improvements. Nothing is more rewarding (and immersive!) to the player than actual quality of life improvements which aren't felt like a mod, but as part of the gameworld

Hi FreakyCracker,

Thanks for your detailed feedback!!
Hope you are ok with me not doing an item by item reply?
Mainly because you mention points, that we either totally agree on, or decided to do them as we see fit (for good reasons). Just to name two:

(1) We agree that HUD clutter is an issue. And I think this is the biggest issue you are having with the game as well?
We really want to improve the clearity of informations presented and will start once we have the more pressing issues crossed off from our list!

(2) On thing we figured out pretty early is that we don't want EVERSPACE 2 to be a space sim.
We are rather aming for the fast arcady combat style. For the same reason we also want to have fast travel at some point.

Bottom line is: you feedback is heard! I personally like the idea of ship improvements that change QoL features.

But lets move on to the more technical issues:

- Losing unsaved mappings when switching menus shouldn't happen. I've made a ticket for this and this should get fixed sooner or later. Thanks.

- Could you please elaborate on 'gradual mouse driven steering' I am afraid I didn't get your point there.

- Regarding mouse flickering: Do you happen to use some kind of script (auto click or fast repeat) or additional software for your mouse? I see the same behavior in map mode if i execute mouse clicks (but no movement) while using the gamepad.
I assume the engine is receiving some input that it shouldn't. You might want to switch the mouse mode to 'operating system' and check if the issue still persists. Unplugging all other peripherals except the gamepad could show if some other device is causing this.

- The green border is new to me. Could you provide a screenshot and infos on your hardware setup? Especially if you are using a widescreen. Does this is happening in 'fullscreen' only or in 'windowed full screen' as well.

Best regards,
Ingmar

PS: Yes there is an AoE collect everthing perk. But you probably already found out by your self.
