First of all I don't like this game... I love it.
I cannot say what I love more:
- intuitive controlls (so you don't need a book or wiki like in Elite Dangerous to know how to fly)
- graphics (they are even more beautiful than in first game)
- story (short for now but I'm already hyped for more)
- a lot of new mechanis (but not too much so you are not lost)

Few points that I think could be improved thou:
- quick flight on the map as sometimes it takes a while to fly from one point to another
- expand storage in your base (or maybe make it so you need to craft a bigger space), it is hard later to hord all junk
- automatic return to base or at least make base always be displayed on the map

It is easy to go into the map and set a waypoint for the base. Later play you wouldn't want to see the base because you will no longer be in the same system.

As you might know we want to add some kind of trading mechanic to the game. Once that is done, we'll think about fast travel. Both concepts a bit contradictionary and we need to balance them.
You might be able to upgrade the homebase in the future through Bens perks... we'll see.
+1 for more storage.

My first idea was to have separate storage for trading goods (for jobs), materials (for perks and jobs) and gear (such as weapons and consumables).

Currently I scrap all gear that is not better than my current one (which is very good for my play style) but somethimes I was like i would love to hold on to this but i will never surrender materials which i might need later and are sometimes difficult to get hold of because you can not simply buy them of the next station. Consumables I usually destroy as I barely use them, they are not worth enough to travel to a trader and you can not stack them high enough to make storage viable for them.

Either way (no matter if different storage or bigger storage) the collector in me wants more. ;D
