Hello,

when i start a new game, i only see the subtitle but no video. I have the latest nvidia driver installed with a GTX 1060.

I can press [F] Skip and then i can play normally.

I played the beta too on this computer, everthing worked (but there were no video sequels).

Anyone gut a solution?

If you are playing on Linux, video playback is fixed by ./play.it.

This is done by dropping the shipped build of VLC, and forcing the game to use the system-provided VLC libraries instead. On Debian it requires installing libvlc5, libvlccore9 and vlc-plugin-base (no need to install the full vlc package), on Arch Linux vlc (from extra section), on Gentoo media-video/vlc.

(all of that is automated when using ./play.it to generate packages for Everspace)

Same for me, the intro cinematic wouldnt play and I just got a black screen with the sound running.
Using the Linux with system libs version.
Not going to use play it option to get this working but ty for suggestion:)
We shouldnt have to, hope they add a fix to that, there is alr a lot of issues with their Linux version of this game.

Game has horrible controls and after fiddling with controls for an hour I gave up so it doesnt matter anyway in my case, but I can confirm there is video issues not working in the Linux version for me too.
Video worked in the wine version.
