I've bought the game and installed it through the standalone installer.

When I tried to play, all I was stuck on a loading screen and after a few seconds, back to windows, without any message.

However, my firewall had detected and blocked an attempt from "RSG-Win64-Shipping.exe" to access the net.

Looking on the forum, it seems people had to allow that file to access the net to be able to play. Out of curiosity, I tried, and got passed the loading screen, to the start menu. But I do not want this kind of things.

So, is internet access mandatory to be able to play that game bought on GOG?

The answer is no, internet is not mandatory.

However, the game does try to access the net and will simply not work when rejected by some firewalls.

Is this still present in the current version of Everspace?
