i HAVE PLAYED THE BASE GAME AND BEAT IT. I PURCHASED THE EXPANSION AND dL IT BUT WHEN I START THE GAME IT DOES NOT GIVE ME AN OPTION TO PLAY THE EXPANSION JUST THE SAME OLE GAME. DO I NEED TO DO SOMETHING ELSE TO ACCESS THE EXPANSION ?

i always thought it added to the base game\s content

did you check to see if the new playership is available

you just have to prey to RNG godsthat you find it all in the game as you play

I'm also wondering how this works. There's no new ship available to me. Once I bought the DLC, no indication is made that I have it installed and there is no option to install it.

if you are using Galaxy
then you can look at settings in the more menu after you select the game

i believe you should find the dlc listed there with a checkbox
if it isn't checked then checking it should start downloading the dlc
