Hi all,

I've recently bought EU3 Complete with Collection upgrade DLC. It's the full release, version 5.2 (Divine Wind). I can't really start playing since the Terra Incognita is all over the place. When I start with Castille, it covers almost the entire continent. Only a few provinces are shown. However when I start with Scotland, it's seems to be the opposite. Almost all of Europe is visible, except a few provinces. I'll attach the 2 screenshots.

Any help would be greatly appreciate. I want to play the game :(

I found a work around... sort off....

1) I've uninstalled the game, and downloaded manually the install files from the website. Installed it the old fashion way and everything is normal now. No more Terra Incognita in wrong places.

2) I am running Avast Anti-virus on my Windows machine. After a few failed attempts to install the game through Galaxy due to the error: Disk Access Problem’, I found this thread: http://www.getavast.net/tips-tricks/fix-avast-compatibility-issues-with-gog-galaxy. Apparently I had to add Galaxy to the exclusion list.

Still, when I start Galaxy, the game automatically tries to update itself (I am not sure what Galaxy is doing in the background), but it's clearly moving some files, and installs something. After that, the game is again broken...

Edit: For now I fixed it by disabling Galaxy's automatic update for EU3. This is clearly a Galaxy bug. It seems that there are 2 version of the game. The regular download and the buggy one that comes from Galaxy.

Thank you for posting this! It works!

When I first install the program it worked perfectly, but when I tried to start a second game the Terra Incognita maps were all messed up. I thought I broke something but even reinstalling didn't fix it.

I had no idea that Galaxy was automatically updating the games even when we install them manually . I don't really like that, especially since in this case since it doesn't even show up as updated when it finishes and you have to stop it before it does because even though it shows a Rollback option that doesn't seem to fix the problem.

You are welcome. I've raised a support ticket for this problem, but I think I should have raised a Galaxy bug somewhere. It's not the first game I hear people complaining about different versions on Galaxy and on the direct download. I guess to some extent it's understandable since Galaxy is still in Beta.
If anyone still has this issue and for some reason wants to play this over a Galaxy, there is small workaround, which I have found.

It seems this happens when you try to update with Galaxy your game with DLCs installed. So if you want to avid the corrupted installation, first install the EU3 Complete, then run Galaxy and run the update from Galaxy, and after that install manually the DLC.

Worked for me in 1.1.4. Not tried in 1.1.5 yet.
