My gamepad is not an xbox controller though the game thinks it is. I would much prefer mapping the key commands the way I want them in antimicro, but the game forces the xbox controls on me, combining them with the keymapping I set up. (I don't even know what the rt button is.) Needless to say, this makes the controls quite wacky. Is there a way to disable the gamepad recognition?

RT stands for 'right trigger'. That's the bottom right button of the four buttons on the back.

You might want to try X360CE to make the game recognize your gamepad as a xbox controller. I didn't try this with Escape Goat but it worked very well on many games I have used it with.

Having the same issue. What I have to do to keep it from happening is:

1. Start Antimicro
2. Unplug your controller
3. Start Escape Goat
4. Make sure it says "Xbox controller not connected"
5. Plug in your controller and hopefully Linux will detect it and not Escape Goat.

It's frustrating, but being a Linux user always means you have to find creative ways to play games.
