Hi Taverngoers,

Although we have worked hard to deliver a quality, bug-free experience, a game of Epic Tavern's magnitude will have bugs, from time to time. Although we try to find those bugs internally, we are bound to miss the ones that you, our audience, will encounter while playing the game. To that end, we have set up these sub-forums to that you have share these bugs with our QA team, who will then share them with the development team. I few key pointers when writing bugs:

Be as descriptive as possible - The more information you provide, the easier it will be for us to track down issues!

Attach logs where applicable - Log files help provide additional information, especially for crashes or progression blockers!

Without further ado, here is the general template that we prefer:

- Build version - You can find this information in the upper left-hand corner of the main menu.
- Description - A general summary of the bug.
- Steps to Reproduce - What did you do to get the bug? Provide any steps here to make it easier for us to validate the bug internally!
- Reproducability - How often did you encounter the bug?
- System information - WHat kind of machine are you running? We are working hard to ensure that the game is compatible with a low of min/max spec systems, but it would be great to know if your specific hardware is the cause! To find system specs, follow these steps: In Windows, use the Windows+R combo to bring up the Run prompt, Type in "msinfo32", Go to "File", Select "Export", Attach the exported .txt file to your bug.
- Screenshots and Videos - These are important for art issues, but screenshots and videos are always helpful in visually communicating specific issues!
- Output log: This PC > Local Disk > Users > [Your ID] > Taskbar, View > Make sure 'Hidden Items' is checked > AppData > LocalLow > Hyperkinetic Studios > Epic Tavern > output_log

That seems to cover our general guideline and tips for bugs. As always, feel free to let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!

From everyone here at the Tavern,

CHEERS!

- Build Version: 0.831
- Description: I resumed a saved game, and none of the patrons in the tavern had any drink or food orders or even the ability to talk to them available. Portions of the UI also appear to be missing. I had full Action points.
- Steps to reproduce: I used the log off command at the beginning of a day after first getting into the tavern screen. I then quit the game from the main menu and selected "Resume" the next day in real life.
- Reproducability: So far, I have only encountered this issue once, as I have not continued the game beyond taking a screenshot.
- System Information: I am running the game on a Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows 10 64-bit as the operating system. I don't see an option on GOG for attaching a .txt file, and I suspect copying and pasting it would exceed the character limit.
- Screenshots and Videos: There is an attached screenshot showing my tavern as I loaded it this morning.

I had the same bug happen again. I made a backup of my save and just went ahead with last call for the day since I couldn't interact with any of the patrons. I made it another couple of days before I saved and quit again. When I loaded back in, the patrons couldn't be interacted with again. I don't know why this is happening, because it doesn't seem like something that should be possible.

I've got a bug going now where people offer me quests, but when I click on them no new quest is offered. It's been happening for the past few game days, and it looks like this game is over; I can't get any new quests. When I start a new game, I'll make a note here if I still have the same problem.

Funny thing happened. For two days, I was unable to get new quests. Then on the third day, I talked to one of my adventurers, you know to get their life story. And suddenly the quest pop-up came up and it was added to my list. And now quests are coming up as normal again.

Hey, blainedeyoung! Hm, that's very strange. Which quest was the one that popped up? I'm glad you're getting quests again, but I also want to find out why it did that in the first place! Please let me know if there are any additional stalls with the quests.

Hey, MisspelledName! Quick question - when you start a new tavern, does the same thing happen? I know if you close out of the tutorial quest it can get a little funky, so my other question is if you're able to see what quest you were on when this bug occured? Thank you!

- Build Version 0.831

- Description: Same bug as in post 2 happens for me too, so after loading a game no patron demands food/drinks or wants to talk, but I have full action poiunts. If I make the last call early and let the day pass the problem doesn't appear again on the next day.

- Reproducability: Happens every time after loading the savegame, if I didn't press the "Okay" Button at the beginning of the day before leaving the game. I let the game continue for a few days and everything was working fine again, but as soon as I leave the game before pressing the "Okay" button in the menu on the beginning of the day it appears again.

Still waiting for the promised update. I have the steam version. I started playing using my laptop. Then I stop and played it usng my desktop for the next 3 days. It loaded and continued normally for that 3 days. Then I try playing the game again on my laptop. To my horror, i lost all my savegame. It reverted back to the savegame when i stop playing on my laptop a week ago. I then switch to my desktop and it's the same. The savegame are overwritten by the laptop savegame. The game should allow users to save an offline version and continue from there. Very disappointed.

Hey, limacsg! I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble. We have, however, just completed our newest patch, and are working on putting it on GOG today - so we're looking forward to you checking that out!

I'd like to see if there's a way we can help you with your savegame problem so it doesn't happen in the future. I know that Steam supports cloud saves, as does GOG - are you utilizing this option at all? If you have a game saved on one machine and do not upload to the cloud, then play a separate saved game on a different machine and upload that one into the cloud, that save could potentially overwrite the other one only if you download that from the cloud. If you do not utilize the cloud, then you should potentially have two separate saves on two different machines (if that makes sense). I'd be happy to explain more if need be - please let me know! You can also join us on our Discord server so we can talk directly to youL http://www.discord.gg/epictavern I hope to hear form you soon!

Hey, @MisspelledName! I wanted to see if you are still experiencing this bug in the new build? Let me know! Thanks!
Build Version: 0.925

Description - Multiple UI bugs:
1) When I first started the game, the tutorial tells you to build the cellar. After constructing the cellar, I could not close the popup. The tutorial didn't say to click the X button and the X button did not work. Two (2) game restarts later, the tutorial pointed at the X when I built the cellar. The game continued as normal from there.
2) When I have party members with minor injuries, the debuff is not always removed after they've recovered in the infirmary.
3) I started two (2) quests on the same day. "The Curse of Blackheart Manor" and the one where you hide an assassin from the guards "A Desperate Plea". The first day of the haunted house quest completes and I click the "Next Quest" button. The assassin aiding quest load screen appears, but there is no button to star the quest and no key I press or spot on the UI I click continues the game. Also, if I start "A Desperate Plea" first, the party is not represented as full, and quest progression does not take place. Therefore, I am now stuck and cannot progess at all.

Steps to reproduce -
1) I may have clicked other buttons instead of ONLY the ones the tutorial said to click (because I like to investigate and read up on things). Perhaps that was why the 3rd attempt got me through it?
2) I'm not sure, but the infirmary may not be curing characters with Minor Injuries that already have full HP?
3) This happens every time I load and I cannot progress. I'd guess that starting these two quests at the same day is the cause?

Reproducibility -
1) happened twice in a row
2) happened many times, but not always
3) I can't get past it. Happens every time.

System Information -

I've tried to attach a screenshot of the UI when I start "A Desperate Plea" first (Screen shot 2) and when I do Haunted house first (Screenshot 4). The forum file attachtment is acting strange, so not sure if both got uploaded. I'll do another post if with attachment if necessary

Here's Screenshot 2 which should have been attached to my prior post.

Even the new post doesn't seem to attach screenshot 2....

I was able to get past issue 3 by having them abandon the quest. This marked them both as failure though :-(
