The Enigmatis series seems to support only english when you select Windows. Linux supports other languages. It seems possible to download the Linux version, extract the language files and use them with the Windows version. I tried it with the first part of the series and everything (text, not voice) is german now. I extracted the files from the other two games, but have not tested it.

I hope GOG will support other languages on Windows in the near future (I have opened a ticket). Until then: You can just download the Linux installer, rename the ".sh" file to ".tar" and open that archive with WinRAR or maybe 7zip. Extract the language files, i.e. "Game_de.cub". Move or delete the english version ("Game_en.cub") and copy files from the ".tar" file, that's all. The second and third parts of the series contains multiple files "Game..._en.cub", which should all be replaced.

Just finished the fist part of the series in german on Windows 10. Played with galaxy. Got no problems there.

German:
Keine Probleme gehabt. Habe es über Galaxy geladen und gespielt. Vielleicht war das der Grund?
I used the offline installer. Galaxy is optional, so I should be able to download the game as advertised (Windows, german) without using galaxy. I managed to get the first part running with german language. I downloaded the other parts and hope I can patch it to be able to play using german language as well. I'm not sure it will work for the other parts, as there seems to be more files involved.

If there's a working versin to use with galaxy, why not offer that for download / offline installtion, too?

tl;dr: The game is advertised for Windows / german language and one should be able to get that (as an offline installer).

Slightly OT: The Linux installer is not a tar file, it's a zip file with a shells script at the beginning.

Offline installers are multilingual, the language option is simply a bit "unusual" (in fact it's clearly written/explained, it's simply easy to not pay attention to it if you don't read whole text in the installer*, and especially because it's first time they do this this way :P).

When you execute the offline installer, click on "Options", and here there is a drop-down menu where you can select your language.
I made some screenshots just in case ;)
I tried with french, it seems to be perfectly working :)

Hope this will helps you !

*[you can see on first screenshot, under the installation path, that it's specified :
"Currently selected language of the game is: english.
For more details and to adjust installation settings click Options."]

Thanks for the info, it worked (tested with the second game). The installer asks for a language and I choose "german", never considered there would be another option within the installer to change the language for the game...

You're welcome :)
Well, I think it's really one of the first time GOG does it this way, it's the first time I saw that in a GOG's installer !
I was thinking the same as you first time I launched the installer, but I wanted to install it in english so... of course I didn't noticed any issue then XD
... And then I really took the time to read what was exactly written after seeing your thread ;)

Play well :D

Didn't work for me - I choose German on the installer and the game still starts in English.
Is there any way to change the language options or trick the game to use a different language than the OS default?
