ashoob: So I've been wanting to play this apparently awesome game, but it seems EECH won't recognize the hat switch on the controller. Is there some way I can get the game to recognize it? It reads the joystick in the preference screen, but only the stick axis and built-in throttles. Is there a file I can edit or something, or will I have to try using ppjoy or some other controller configuration software? If it helps, I have the Allmods mod installed. Thank you for your help in advance.
I know this is an old topic, but I have the exact same joystick and the hat works even though I don't assign it to anything within EECH. My config:
Cyclic yaw = X axis
Cyclic pitch = Y axis
Pedal = Z rotation
Throttle = Slider
All others are default.
Even though the POV hat is not assigned to anything, if I use it my pilot will look around as expected... I use Win 7, 64 bits, EECH with allmods v. 1.13 (latest). No extra tweaks.
