I've never played a sim before (except for old arcadish F117) and I don't have a joystick nor intend to get one. Is there at least a little chance for me to succeed playing EECH using only mouse and keyboard?..

It is possible to control it with keyboard, but it's much harder and a joystick is highly recommended.

As much as I'd like everyone to try this fantastic game, you do need a joystick to get the best experience out of it. I definitely wouldn't recommend playing it with mouse/keyboard, even if it is possible.
