I start the game and when I try to move the mouse cursor dissapear.
I can´t highlight any of menu options either .
I'm trying to run the game on Win XP sp3 and the only special thing on my system is that I have two geforce 7950 GT running on SLI.

Can you disable SLI? From what I've read a lot of older games have problems with it. It seems especially common in early 3d accelerated games
Nice try, but the mouse pointer still freezes with SLI disable.
Thanks.
In your first post you said it vanishes and in your second you said it freezes, is this a different issue now?
Have you tried running it in compatibility mode for Win 98?
Might be worth trying to turn the hardware acceleration on your video card down a notch or disabling the mouse pointer shadow (it's weird but I've had that make a difference before)

Sorry, It´s the same issue, but It´s difficult to explain well because of my bad english.
I already tried to run the game on win98 before the opening of this thread.
Thanks anyway.
My english again.

I had this problem on my first run, it was caused by Windows Firewall popping up "behind" the application. I Alt-tabbed out of the game and selected unblock, then alt-tabbed back into the game and everything was fine.
I was thinking about this again, and I may have had to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete (bringing up the task manager) rather than Alt-Tab.

Richardhunt500, thanks but I don't use Windows Firewall.
I tried disabling my antivirus firewall and It didn't work too.
If you have more then 1 cpu core you could try setting the game to only run on a single core.

Could you tell me how to do that?

Start the game up and then hit ctrl-alt-del to bring up task manager. Once you have that open go to the processes tab. Right click the games process and set the affinity to core 0. See if that gets the game running.
Thanks.
I let you know if works.
PD: If it works, this solve my problem to run BF1942 too.

Hi, I'm having the exactly the same problem (basically the mouse is invisible - it can still be used, but with great difficulty).
I'm also using a 7950, but mine is a single card GTX. Possibly a card- / driver-specific bug? (It's a Dell XPS M1710 laptop, with a 2.16GHz Centrino Duo, and 2GB RAM).
EDIT: I just changed some settings in my card's control panel and the problem has gone away. Sorry for bothering you guys.

That’s exactly correct, you might need to change the resolutions setting, start from the bottom and see if that helps, if it does, just work your way up to a better resolution.
