Hi. As implied, my question is about getting a new version of ES. I'm currently on ES v.0.10.12, if I get 0.10.14, can I simply "update" my current version, or must I reinstall and restart from the beginning? I have some Bactrians and commandeered pirate ships to lose (they often have awesome stuff not commonly available).

Edit: I took a chance and simply installed 0.10.14 over 0.10.12. It works as an update package. Awesome stuff and my question is answered.

Save data is found under ...\appdata\roaming\endless-sky\saves (or the non-Windows equivalent) so uninstalling should NOT remove your saves (unless you misclick on the uninstaller's question about saves...). In any case, that is the place to go to find them, to make backups from, in case you are concerned.
