I am unable to move my mouse cursor when launching the game. I have copies of this game for both GOG and retail disc. Is there a fix for this? Perhaps a registry edit or?

Any solution? I have the same problem.
Hi Everyone, I was having the same problem but HAVE FOUND A WORKING SOLUTOIN!

These steps are taken from another post and I can confirm they work in the latest Windows 10 and make the mouse curser move.

1. Go to the install folder (Galaxy has a shortcut under More > Manage Installation)
2. Right click Empires_DMW.exe and go to properties
3. Click the compatbility tab and the "Change settings for all users button" at the bottom
4. Check "Run program as administrator", "Disable full screen optimization" make sure "Disable DPI scaling set by:" is checked at set to "System (enhanced)" rather than the default "Application".
5. Apply and close the window and try launching the game again.

Hopefully this works for you as it's a great game and i'm so glad to have found a working solution whch means we can play it!
Hi, I have a windows 8.1 and I don't have a "Disable DPI scaling set by:" but only "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" and doesn't work. Some idea?

You are awesome man! This fix worked perfectly.
I did a manual intstall not gog galaxy. I have no Empires_DMW.exe anywhere. Am I out of luck?
In my case i'ts even more hilarious: the mouse is working now BUT the resolution of the screen is totally messed up so I cannot click in the "accept" buton to change the resolution.

Ok , I have windows 11 and got it going all good . Heres My solution after reading others posts , and they were helpful , thank you all .
Went to programfiles86/ Gog Galaxy /Empires Dawn of the Modern World /
At the EDMW_ResSet.exe ,
1. you have to set compatibility to Run this program as Administrator , then change DPI settings to Under Program DPI ( check ) use to fix scaling problems . And lower down , ( check ) override high DPI Scaling . And System ( Enhanced ) . Set to Ok .
2. Back ok. Change settings for All users , and ( check ) Run as Administrator . ok .

At the Empires_DMW.exe ,
1.you have to set compatibility to Run this program as Administrator , and Disable Fullscreen Optimizations .
then change DPI settings to Under Program DPI ( check ) use to fix scaling problems . And lower down , ( check ) override high DPI Scaling . And System ( Enhanced ) . Set to Ok .
2. Back ok. Change settings for All users , and ( check ) Run as Administrator . ok .
Exit Gog Galaxy , and then Restart , and Restart Game .
