Hello everyone!

I wanted to go back to EE, it's a wonderful game. Unfortunately, I am unable to play.

I am writing here after checking most of the solutions on the net, including changing the name of the video card, resolution, starting as Administrator and compatibility mode, among others.

Still, can't make it run. Basically, it freezes after some seconds of getting in. I tried to quickly start a new game, but it freezes some seconds after the game began.

Any other solution you can give me?

Thanks everyone!

If you tried "all solutions", then did you install the newest version of NeoEE patch from http://neoee.net ?
I heard that the newest version of NeoEE automatically detects screen resolution to fix most of issues.

The problem you described, sounds like: In Settings you have selected 16bits colors screen resolution. Windows 10 (or maybe even Win 8, I don't remember) doesn't support 16 bit colors anymore. So you should change screen resolution in settings to the one that has "32 bits", for example: "1920x1080 32 bit".
Thanks for your reply.

Yes I did, but the problem persists. Each time I try to change something related to video (mouse over the resolution box) it freezes.

I have the highest resolution with 32 bits.

I was thinking to show this problem also in the NeoEE forums, what you say?

If you have any other way I can tackle it, I will happy to receive it.

Thanks once again.

Yes jetran, I think it's a very good idea to write about this problem at: http://www.save-ee.com/viewforum.php?f=7
I think there is a better chance to get help using their forum, so people who actually know the about game issues can read it. I don't think any of them checks gog or other forums. It's always best to ask at the "source".
For me it works now. I had those random freezes that would come after a few seconds in the menu. First, I tried every fix but none worked.

Then some guy said to just download the game from gog.com instead of using gog Galaxy, and it worked! Literally just download the Setup from the gog.com page, install the game, start it, change the graphic (select your graphic card + change the setting to TNL or how it's called + select your solution). The game might crash, but after that it runs like a Swiss clock.
Hey, i had the same problem, the thing that fixed it for me was, moving installation folder from gog/program files/.... to simpler destination like E:/games for ex.

It seems that win 10 admin privileges had to do something with it.
I use win 10 actual version pro x64, i've left all default graphic settings basically all high.. direct 3d, thats it.

Edit: forgot. set compatibility to Windows 8, or whatever system is latest that you are using. i have 10 so latest option for me is windows 8

Hope this helps someone.

WOW Thanks ! My game is working now !
This was driving me crazy, but downloading the installer from the website fixes the problem for me - I was able to play for at least half an hour.

It was a while ago, but I'm certain I didn't witness any crashes. No problem at all.

Hey were you able to find a way to fix this? I'm experiencing the same issue. It's as if there's a timer in the game that makes it crash at the same time every time I start a map. Thanks
in linux with wine it has the same problem, after a while the game crashes and gives an error
