gavla: It's not a killer problem, but I have a blue box around my cursor which always flickers as I play Empire Earth. Sometimes it leaves ghost cursors on spots in the top and bottom bars.

It very much resembled this issue : http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f59/empire-earth-1-display-problem-395311.html

I can't use the solution in the above link because my weak little integrated netbook Intel GMA doesn't have the same options in its Win7 setting program.

Does anybody have a fix for this or can they at least identify the issue a bit more clearly?
perhaps patch your game... (save-ee.com)

Believe or not my windows 7 Monster rig crashed after 5 years heavy service, so, too tired to put another one together which would have my tenth self built machine but im 55 and tired of putting together like Frankenstein a creature made of different components and vendors. So I bough an Asus M51AT , not bad GTX 260 12gb ddr3 ram and a 2TB drive.
and win8.1 home edition. Its not a bad system actually. The more you use it and sculpt it to your tastes the better it is.

Now, not on could I get EE up and running immediately unlike before where I was getting that stupid DILL crash error issue but the blue box problem was solved by checking in Video options 3d Hardware TnL rather then just 3d hardware. Works like a charm. Hope this is of some us to anyone with this issue..

Good Luck

Sorry :S
so I went into setting and change it from saying primary driver to my nividia driver and a maxed out the resolution.
If anyone is still looking for a solution for some reason after doing this the blue box went away.
