I raised the difficulty level. And the Nomad camps turned hostile very early. They sent in an Army that kept on regenerating.
It took a while but finally defeated them. But it took me three reloads to figure out how. Is this what I can expect in the future so I can prepare?

Thanks
basically yes. the higher dif makes it more likely / faster for cities to turn against you if they have better military then you and will generate more armies.

was the army regenerating while attacking you? if not all armies recover once they get home for ai.

keep in mind that the game only counts armies in your city for military power. meaning if you have 10 armies but all of them are out fighting you are counted as having 0 armies so they will instantly rebel.

Before I had about a year before worrying about the Nomads. And only when they have at least 4 Shields on the map. But this was in 6 months. I didn't have an Army but got Huang Di as my only "Army" When He got hurt enough, he would vanish and I would get the Vassal Notice.
The Nomad Army was not normal in the sense that once I had taken out the Cavalry, their band would regenerate again and again. How many times was tough to count but enough to where I wasn't sure the game would let me win. And the map had the Nomads with two Shields. . I was curious if this was a preprogramed "Vassal mode" that was part of the higher level. Forcing you to start out paying Tribute.
Thanks again
PS The topic should read vassal. Did it quickly and screwed it up. Can't seem to fix it. So, Sorry.

all i can say is weird.

i havent played past the first 3 campaigns but didnt encounter anything that felt like a forced vassal mode in those. past that i cant help.

the regen armies might be a bug or some weird coding for resupplying troops out of combat.
Thanks
I tried the episode several times.with different preliminary moves and got the unusual army each time. When later attached normally, the Nomad Army was typical. i tried to count the number of regenerations of the Army and it appears to be six- eight times. So it is a programmed event.
Only time it has happened to me.
Thanks again
Sp Attached- Attacked
