Just to be clear: Does this download already include the official version 1.0.1 patch?

I don't want to apply the patch and risk breaking something. But I haven't had enough time playing it yet to encounter the specified errors the patch was written to address.

Hey GOG, it would really help if this sort of information was specified upfront, either way, especially since GOG insists on using GOG version numbers that bear no relationship whatsoever to the software's declared version numbers.

Steam and GOG use latest official versions of all games, except in some situations where fan edits are used with permission (such as the NewDark engine for Thief I/II and System Shock 2).

Since the Jin Wudi bonus campaign was distributed with the 1.0.1.0 patch after it was available separately, this statement by GOG staffer Venita would be reason enough to believe Emperor: RotMK is at the latest version here.

It's more like 1.0.1.1, since the GOG version does a couple of tweaks to remove the CD requirement from both launching the game, and the Campaign Creator. :P
