In Galaxy it says "Updated 25 days ago". Does that mean the version 1.0 which we can download now is already available to GOG staff for 25 days and whatever bug-fixes were done during the past month are not included yet? When can we expect a patch (let's call it "Day X patch" ;-)) ?

I second that. Is there any way to check if game was patched in game? Like version number or updated readme file?

Been trying to find this out but well the Elex official website / forums seem really bare bones and isn't a great source of info beyond marketing blurb. The Steam forums is well .... um typical steam forums. Would be nice if someone could in an official capacity could pop by and confirm that state of the current gog release in terms of updates.

While we wait for an official answer, we can try guessing by going in-game and see if some of the patch notes are actually verifiable (personally, I can't play the game right now, or I would have done it myself) :

For example, among the patch notes, it says:

- Sleep will now also replenish energy (should be easy to notice?)

- Crating --> you can now upgrade shields

- Shields can now block ranged weapons

What energy they meant? "Mana" or health? Health is restoring after a sleep.

- I didn't notice any energy. Maybe they mean magic, and you get that much farther in the game than I am.

- you start with iron pipe for a weapon... I wouldn't expect to have shields for a very long time. Same goes for upgrading them.
According to the german World of Players forums (https://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/threads/1502863-Version-der-Elex-exe) the current Steam version of the exe is 1.0.2829.0. My exe has the version 1.0.2787.0. I would therefore assume that the day one patch is not included in the actual GOG release. :(

@GOG, THQ Nordic and PB
Why it is so difficult to release updates simultaneously (on Steam and GOG)?

Please don't tell me that gog version is "special"...

Devs?

Yeah, like I said, sometimes the version number progression might be different between Steam and GOG, but it's a bit disappointing that no one from PB (or GOG themselves) could come here and spend just one minute to tell us about this matter.

That's the most dissapointing part for me.

I am not really sure what the deal is really with regard to PB but there does seem to be a distict lack of communication both in terms of news and hype about this game. The official website is bare bones as are the offical forums (Iwhich google seems to think have been hacked btw).

Given that I am not sure if we will get any answer to this anytime soon. i hope I am proven wrong but I am not holding my breath.

It is a good thing I am enjoying the game and have not personally run into any issues but yeah community engagement just seems lacking to say the least /sigh

Well they were nice enough to say ONE THING in the main thread :p

But yeah this patch thing looks pretty useful and needed on the bug front... hope PBytes didn't forget to upload it to GOG...
So, anyone tested, we are "special" or not?
stil waiting for official answers. looks like no one from the devs, publisher or GOG seems to answer yet...
devs? anyone?
