I mean cmon how many of you dodged troll rocks on all directions and are still death right ? How many of you got killed by that flying robot machine while dodging the laser beam :D ?

The hit box in this game seems to not follow the character shape, means its a huge freaking box and must get smaller in a patch asap. If you have any clue about games you should know what a hit box is.

The hit box in this game does not follow character shape. Example when you dodge you can still get killed by certain enemies, bec even if they dont touch you'r body you still get hit on the invisible area designed by devs.

This issue affects mostly projectile type of dmg like laser beams and rocks trowed by trolls, also walking close to mines even if you dont touch them they detonate.

If they did this to make game harder dosnt make much sense, dodging I use 40% of the time and 60% I just use jetpack to replenish my stamina.

I dont want start talking about the bad enemy A.I and the projectiles that follow you'r character and they dont go in a straight line at all, but I understand that at some point until troll fking rocks.

Dont get me wrong I kill most enemy in the game, at some point you get really OP, but the game needs some fluidity added to it and annoying stuff must be fixed for a better gameplay and smoother experience, no matter the difficulty you should not get killed by invisible stuff... you get hit alright, but when skill does not matter and only pure luck than that is a issue.

All Troll attacks have significant AoEs, dodging doesn't always work well, especially against them.

I'm not sure what the 2nd one you're referring to is- Drones, maybe?

I block so much I barely even think about dodging. (It's great for getting distance from humanoid enemies that tend to lock you down with attacks, though)

Actually, the reason I don't bother trying to dodge much is because block + strafe is so reliable for most enemies. When I try to dodge things I usually end up getting hit MORE.

Then again, it is a PB game, so there's probably an optimal method to deal with attacks.

il try that thx
From my experience, this game doesn't really use hitboxes in the traditional sense. Instead, it seems that the combat is driven by timing - i.e. for the troll rock, you're supposed to dodge as soon as you see the animation cue for the throw, NOT as the rock is closing in. It's a little weird but after a little bit of practice you can dodge anything easily.

I avoid the rock throws either by being out of range (since those fly on a limited arc) or by waiting for the actual throw (the throwing animation is tricky, the troll compensates its aim if you move too early) and then jetpacking up a bit.
nvm since I can bind the evade button to a keyboard now the game is easy, just binded the evade on ALT button and everything is smooth now.
I've definitely had some moments when I clearly dodged an attack from things like Jackals (I saw the space between it's attack and me) but it still hit me. It hasn't been a big issue for me but I've certainly seen some "dodgy" dodging.
