It shows up in my library and I can download it but the store page still lists it as "not owned".

Maybe a blue could answer this question.

Why buy a product on Amazon instead of GoG directly?
That is the problem.

It is a freebie given away by Amazon. If you have the Amazon Prime service they offer free computer games through steam and gog. A couple months ago I was able to get the base game for Stellaris and then they had a huge deal on all DLC for Stellaris for $50 which I spent money on.

It's not free if you are paying for Prime.
It has been offered for free on GoG in the past.

Same here, Oblivion shows up in both my library page and in GOG Galaxy, and can be installed and played just fine, but it doesn't get flagged as "in library" on the game's store page, unlike other Amazon Prime games i redeemed in the past, like Frostpunk or Ghostrunner.
The price with which it shows up on the "Orders history" page for me is €18.29, rather than the €19.99 for which Oblivion shows up at on the store. So it looks like it's a subtly different game package which we got through Amazon, and that explains why the regular retail package isn't being marked as owned. I doubt that's deliberate, but probably simply an artifact from the byzantine way in which gog deals with packages and games internally.

Hi!
I got the following response from gog support:

Hello,

This is a known glitch, and is related to some games that have specific editions. Unfortunately fixing this will be very resource-consuming, and I cannot promise when this can be done. Currently, a warning is displayed in Checkout, in case someone tries to buy something they already own.
For now, please ignore any cases of games nor being marked as owned, if you do own them, and can find them in your account's library.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

NexMorke:
Thanks for posting here the response from GOG support!. ^_^
I've had this "glitch" with other games as well:
- The Witcher 3 GOTY: GOG still lets me buy the standard edition and its expansions even though I already own the GOTY edition. I got the "free DLC program" without realizing it was intended for the standard edition, and ended up with a broken entry in my account; had to contact support to remove it from my account.
- Neverwinter Nights EE: Ordered the Digital Deluxe edition last year using a newsletter discount. Got a new discount code for "D&D Classics" and the Digital Deluxe was still up for grabs (the base game was marked as owned, thought).

Basically GOG has multiple store listings for certain games and editions, and tends to point to the wrong listing. This can be confirmed on gogdb. Maybe this could be fixed by merging the different listings, but I'm not sure if this is even possible or what would be the implications for both GOG and us consumers.
Even though NexMorke managed to get an answer from GOG support, it would be nice to have a blue on here to escalate this issue.
GOG in general has a big issue with linking various packages and BloodRayne franchise is probably the worst offender.

I have a feeling that GOG leaves all of this up to the publisher, without any kind of enforcement to clean up their mess.

Same thing happened with Fallout 1, 2 and tactics. Bethesda removed some goodies and it became an entirely different game. IMO said goodies should have been turned into a free DLC for old owners, while the games should have maintained their old IDs. That's how Steam handled Mafia 1 and its copyrighted music removal.

I used to own all the BloodRayne games, then the publisher updated the packaging, now I own none of them according to the store lol. They're still accessible in my library, of course, but filtering out what's owned and what isn't is becoming a pain when I go shopping during sales.

No, it was not free on GOG.

It was released along with other titles beginning of June 2017 and offered at 50% discount until June 6 according to this article: link. It would have been outrageous if Gog had offered Oblivion as a freebie just 2 days after.

Are you saying I falsified this order?
