I installed Skyrim and i can't find mod activation option in launcher nor main menu, so where i can find option to activate mods?
Folder Local Settings/Application Data/Skyrim Special Edition GOG is empty.
This question / problem has been solved by hengyn45image
I'd like to second this question, there is no way to activate mods from the Skyrim launcher. Is it supposed to be this way?

GOG stated they are working on a mod solution for Skyrim that was inferred to be similar to the mod selection in the steam version.

It's obviously a work in progress and not done yet, but for now there is no mod selection available on the menu.

I originally was turned off by this, and had to reread the announcement before deciding whether I wanted a GOG copy or not.

In the end, I want Microsoft to see Skyrim as a successful bid on GOG and I want more modern(ish) Bethesda/Microsoft games on here, so I kept my copy despite not having an all inclusive mod loader initially.

You do you.

I hope you are right ^^
Personnaly I'm quite surprised gog hasn't published Skyrim-Legendary edition aka "oldrim" version
because it will no longer be updated, which drastically simplifies modding.
Also this made space economy (8 or 9 Go space instead of ~27 Go for SE)
+retro playable +playable on low powered PC

The "Legendary" edition can be quite unstable on modern PC's running Windows. I had no problem running it on a modern Linux using bog-standard Wine. It does save HDD space, but looks a little less pretty when compared to the Special Edition.

Linux is a particular case for gaming... Last time I touched a linux Quake 3 (a game theorically universal always working) not working lol and the guy also explained to me all games running under unreal engine can't startup because of a complicated to explain informatician-thing.
For come back to skyrim, a common issue with LE version on actual windows computers is with 144 fps screens, the game is unplayable because image insanely suttering, I saw this when a dude changed its main monitor (fixable by many ways) but he has not met an other bug during his last playthough on his preciously preserved LE version.
But yes some older games are very glitchy on Win10 (example in mass effect original trilogy I found some little glitches are muuuch larger its easier to fall into it... or you can block quest sequence if you eject ennemies too far or too strongly with biotic powers they pass behind the walls much easier than on older systems)
Anyway there is many computer still well working on XP/Win7 x32 and I am curious to see how LE could react in new systems environement, from what I know, there is no particular instability on LE with actual computers.
Two other arguments in favor of LE version, it will no more be updated this drastically simplifies modding
and for low powered PC this is a very reliable choice, in effect, everybody dont have enough money to spent in a expensive gaming computer (in addition personnaly im jazed by expensive laptops wich dies or become underpowered after 2 poor years of use, I know guys with older machines still perfect working after 8 years of use and more).
Hoping to have been convincing :) Lil' funny fact : in an other topic a motivated guy suggested a petition for oldrim come-back 8'D naturally I suscribe by advance xD

However, to help answer the initial question (the topic subject lol) :
@wilkolakzlasu
With vortex in my case he created the files loadorder.txt and plugins.txt in \AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition
i just copy-past these files in \AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition GOG it has worked.

Have you a official source of this information?

Half solution, but useful. MO2 is creating this files too (MO2/profiles/Default) and copy-paste solution is working, even on mods that not working with MO2.
Thank you.

If you only have the GOG version installed, you should be able to create a junction called "Skyrim Special Edition" and point it at "Skyrim Special Edition GOG". This will allow you to use other mod managers without the need to manage the mods manually.

I'm running Wrye Bash in Linux under Wine and created symlinks, so I haven't actually tested it in Windows directly, but the concept is similar and I would think it should work.

With pleasure^^ but yes it's only a half solution sorry 8's
Have a GG in Skyrim, hoping a further update will properly solve modding problematics for skyrim-gog in the way to be simple and handy, after all the game is just arrived ; I suppose the ambient impatience on this subject is proportional to the enthusiasm :)
