Hello All

I purchased the game yesterday and upon start up I quickly realised, when prompted to look around for the first time, that my controller was not being recognised. To be honest, I first detected this when my controller was not working on the main menu of the game.

I use an Xbox One controller and it works with many of my other controller supported gog.com games such as New Vegas, Serious Sam Siberian Mayhem, the Arkham games etc.

I am hoping that this is a launch issue as I am told that the Steam version does have controller support. The gog.com version of the game is actually higher than the Steam version.

I did the classic protocol of removing and re-inserting my controller. I restarted the game. It still would not pick up my controller.

Can anyone help?

Yeah, I've been having this issue with my Switch Pro Controller.

Did you remember to enable Controller in the in-game settings?

I did that, but I still can't use my preferred controller.

I'm half asleep but I believe it is settings > interface > controller

Settings > Game > Controller >ENABLED

...or settings>game>controller

Works with Xbox one controllers flawlessly.

Thank you for the feedback. I am so surprised that something so basic is not activated from a first time start up. In 2022 you would think there was a problem if it didn't work the first time around.

Did you try cable connection or x360ce controller emulator?

No need, but thanks very much (see below). Ah, yes I did. x360ce does function as a work-around. (Now if only we could get mods to work.)

Im using Vortex + skse64, and this thing was important (found on reddit):-and some mods, skyui, ussep, glowing books...

1. Go to "Users/yourname/AppData/Local/Skyrim Special Edition" and copy the files within the folder.
2. Paste the files in "Users/yourname/AppData/Local/Skyrim Special Edition GOG"

I have an official Microsoft wireless XBOXONE controller I haven't tested mine yet but will after this I'll post my results in a few minutes.

In the mean time, anyone know why I can reply just fine but cannot create a new topic?

OK tested the controller and there is only one thing you cannot do with it, create a name. You still require the keyboard to do that.

Otherwise it's working perfectly.
