LeLorrain: I setup Morrowind under PlayOnLinux and it works fine, even after transferring ALL my Mods from the original version (CD's) that I played many years ago! I have only one small annoying problem though: I can't get to the console when I type the "~" key, nothing happens!

Anyone has any suggestions?

Did you ever get an answer to your query ? I ask because i have just picked this up and want to mod it reasonably
Anyone know of a mod to get rid of spell failure? It's stupid, and I'm not going to be punished for running everywhere in an exploration game. All I can find is this https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43224 but surely there's another way besides granting me 99's in all magic skills. I just want to cast my damn heal spell without failure.

If it's all that you want, then just make a healing spell of your liking that always succeeds, make it cheap and give it to Arrille, for example (TES Construction Set is very easy to use, I'm sure you manage to do it). Save changes as a plugin (mod) and enable it next time you start the game. Then you can buy the spell from him and use it anytime you want.
my keys seem to be stickey when I try to change from weapons to spells or from walk to run. Also, when I have a spell selected I have to bepress the key several times to cast the spell. Should I delete the game from my hard drive and down load a fresh copy?
I am having some issue with Morrowind and hope GOG can help

https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Morrowind_graphics_guide#[Morrowind_Optimization_Patch]

I am following the mod list on here and installed First two (mge xe and morrowind code patch) but having some issue with graphics rendering.

here is a video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jF9vsuqaUZQ

I shot a video of my screen in slow mo to demonstrate the issue.

whenever you move camera it is not rendering the graphics correctly and it gives me massive headache.

In ultrawide 2560x1080 resolution.

did anyone encounter that issue?

Hello,
I know that ultra wide high resolution monitors cause issues. That is the sources of your problems. I don't know a fix.

Ultrawide is not an issue. same weird poppin of textures happens in normal wide resolution
I'm happy to report that OpenMW 0.47 works well in my Linux box. Morrowind runs better now in Linux than under Windows.
Witam, czy jest jakaś możliwość na zainstalowanie polskiej wersji językowej na The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition Deluxe ona ma zainstalowany path 2.0 chyba, i nie można zainstalować spolszczenia z cenegi bo ono działa tylko w wersji 1 coś
Now i am finally playing Morrowind on PC the way i was experiencing it on the Xbox console alerady, just with much better specs.

Many mods are even working, some of them are broken or incompatible. However, one mod is just notorious for not working correctly... no matter how hard i try, the mod is simply in a very broken shape, which is sad because it is the most huge mod.

I use OpenMW 48 and officially it should be compatible with Tamriel Rebuild: https:/.../www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/42145/?tab=description&topic_id=7679758

I fail getting it to work and in my mind it is simply broken. Reinstalling game, reinstalling OpenMW, registering all BSA of course... it simply is missing a lot of stuff...

I am not sure this is "normal" but for sure this mod is far from being finished.

An ideas?

Playing morrowind with openmw 0.48 and i wonder do i need anything else than the patch for purists and expansion delay for most purists gameplay?
Or am i missing some fixes?
Had only 1 crash by now when i wanted to visit the khajit merchant in Balmora to sell him moon sugar but before i reached his door for some reason it crashed.
It didn't crash at second attempt to get there and i played a little more.

Pretty sure the creator has come out and said don't use MGSO as well which owuld be a MAJOR point agains't using it as well I would think. Anything else that is recommended instead of it these days?
Sorry, Topken, I can't answer your question.

This is not about Topken's post, but the post quotes another post which contains a link whose content I find questionable, to say the least (the first one in the list of reasons to not use MGSO):

"All third-party tools included in the pack are incredibly outdated. (Morrowind Code Patch and Morrowind Graphics Extender)".

For one, the download site for MGSO lists many sources MGSO uses, but doesn't mention MCP and MGE anywhere (and definitely not under Permissions or Requirements).
Secondly, MCP is still (6 years after the quoted sentence was posted) among the most useful and widely used Morrowind mods (and wasn't updated after the last update of MGSO in 2017).

Not that I would ever use MGSO or wanted to defend it, but the link should have "handle with care" attached.
