I've dug around and there doesn't seem to be anyone that has put a step by step on this. Is there anyone that can explain the process of manual mod installation?

I understand using a mod manager, or steam version of Skyrim is easier, less hassle, the works, but am not interested in that for my situation.

Using GOG Special Edition with Anniversary Upgrade.

I honestly hope someone can step forward and explain this in a concise and manageable fashion.
