Do people still play Oblivion a lot, I don't hardly hear about it anymore. I hear about Skyrim more often then I'd like to, but regardless I'd like to know if some of you still do or not.
I just recently got it working on my new computer. Time to do another completely play through. I don't play games that have DRM, that means no skyrim. Oblivion is one of my five all time favorite games.
Yes. I recently installed the game on my older PC (it runs the game better) for someone visually-impaired who enjoyed Skyrim and Morrowind, but couldn't read text very easily in the latter. It certainly has a place in the series, and while I definitely wouldn't say it's the best, it's good for a bit of fun here and there. There are still mods coming out, as well. We aren't seeing nearly as many crashes during her playthrough, due to some updated stability mods (EngineBugFixes). Plus, Shivering Isles is great. I would have gladly bought more expansions with the quality (and imagination) of SI. Especially if they also took place wholly or partially in Daedric realms.
Yeah I recently got really nostalgic for Oblivion and have been obsessively playing and recording a quest mods video series.Skyrim was alright, but all the things they removed, radiant quests, etc. made it really hard for me to feel like I was playing an actual RPG game. Sure Oblivion has its issues, and the storytelling and quests can be a little repetitive at times, but that why I loved quest mods, it turns an already huge game into a great endless adventure; Integration: The Stranded Light in particular I can just play over and over again.
