I'm having problems running both EWJ1 and 2 in DOSBox. No matter what I mount for both games, or what location I specify that they are in, they do not run. I instead get one of the two messages in the thread title, and am asked to insert the CDROM and restart. I've even burnt the game files to an actual CD and mounted the .ISO from there/tried to run the executable from it and still receive the same error message. Specifying the mounted directory as a CDROM does not help either, nor does additionally labeling the directory as EWJ1 or EWJ2.
I am running Windows XP on a laptop. The game files are located on an external hard drive, although I don't think this is the cause of my problem. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Are you running them through the shortcut or start menu shortcut gog provided or from the games folder where they were installed?
I've tried launching it from both and have had no success with either.
Check the Dosbox config file for the game and make sure the cd images are being mounted to the correct places with it. It should be to whichever drive you installed the game on I believe.
This is what it says under the [autoexec] portion of the .conf file:
IMGMOUNT A EWJ1.inst -t iso -fs fat
mount B "."
B:
cls
EWJ1.EXE 320x224
exit
My game is installed to the folder E:\Video_Games\EWJ1+2\EWJ1 (ends with EWJ2 for the second game obviously).

Not sure its going to work but change the mount B "." to mount E "." and the B: to E:
If that doesn't work you may want to contact gog support if you haven't done so already.
Unfortunately that doesn't work either. I guess I'll have to contact support. Thanks for your assistance.
