Hi,
I have a problem with the first part of the 2150 trilogy. The intro movie doesn't play. I just hear a sound bit, but the screen is just black. So I checked out "play intro". Still I have some very annoying sound glitches after playing the in-game movies and when music starts. I can remember that I needed a special codec or a certain version of windows media player to get around these problems when I had the cd version.
Any ideas?

What box did you check?
display Direct3D HAL or OpenGL hardware (optional)
I would recommend display Direct3D HAL

I tried them both and gained the same result.

If you got fddshow installed, then add earth executable to exclude list. Should solve problems with video/audio

Excellent! That did it! It seems that the installation already added the exception in fddshow for Lost Souls and Moon Project, but not for Escape from the Blue Planet.
