Just in case that someone would like to change the Framelimiter from the default 20 FPS simply press [Enter] inside a running game (it´s not possible to set this inside the menue) and type:
graphrate x
(where x is your target FPS) followed by [Enter].

The setting is stored until you close the game. You do not need to readjust this setting between different levels.
(This should work for each Earth 2150 title)

================================
So for 60 FPS do the following (within a running game):
[Enter]
graphrate 60
[Enter]

Late reply, but does this speed up the game or mess with rates of fire? That happens in a lot of old frame-locked games.

This doesn't seem to be very useful to me. What it does is makes gameplay a bit more smooth when at max speed, and scrolling the game screen is a bit more pleasant, but at regular speed the game still has the same framerate. Oh and the unit icons on the dashboard spin like crazy

This doesn't affect in game play other than making the icons spin faster.

This can be applied automatically by using autoexec.con
