Solved: Saw some posts from may with same type of problem and reinstalled and tried it and it worked. Had to create a folder called 'save' in the main installation directory of game.

First time trying to play Eador and it won't start. The launcher comes up and I can go to settings. It autodetects everything fine but when I start the game from there nothing happens. I get the spinning wheel for a second like it's trying to start then nothing. No error box at all.

I'm on Windows 10 64bit. I've searched the forums and don't find anything on this issue. In previous versions there was an issue they said to turn off Data Execution Prevention for this game which I tried but doesn't help at all.

My system hits recommended system requirements for this game. I'm using a Nvdia Geforce 8800 GT and it's suppose to be able to run with min card of 7300 and recommended of 8800. I have 8 gigs of ram. I can run game like Skyrim at 60 fps.

Any ideas? I've tried reinstalling and setting compatiblity for every OS on the list.

directplay?

Directx 9.0c?

The first things normally causing troubles on Win10......
It supports DX10. I have another older computer with Intel Chip that doesn't even have hardware acceleration and yet it will load fine to the menu. Must have something to do with Nvidia driver for 8800 gt card and this game. It's the last driver they going to make for this card and windows 10 though :(

As far as firewall it doesn't even get that far loading to register it trying to talk to the internet. I disabled my firewall to test it and still just flashes loading circle for a second then nothing.

Is this game even any good? I saw so many good reviews for it but starting to think they fake. The snowbird forum is dead dead dead even for the new Imperium version of this game that just released. I posted 2 comments on both games forums last week and still nobody has yet to post anything else. Mine the lasts posts created in last 5 days !

It could be the best HMM-like, but it's spoiled by bugs.
However it's an excellent demo of the game: you play some long until a bug destroys your game.
I started so many campaigns that I was never able to finish.

Could you please elaborate, how did you fix the launch? I believe I am having the same issue.
yes please elaborate what you did and it worked?
Uninstall, install again and don't go to the Setting on the first launch. Worked for me.
