Really i played a little eador genesis and meet Oinor on a small shard and i wonder what am i supposed to do with him to get that shard?
There was also another local lord, my warrior hero could take both their heroes but the problem happened with the guards of the provinces that i couldn't beat in every province Oinor took over. Think the guards portrait was with silver armor and a pike.
So what was i supposed to do?
Then since i didn't have any chance i simply went and copied an older save file into eador genesis and went to play a tiny shard.

And which guards are the guards guard? I think i get this on a tiny shard building or something.

You will eventually need to kick out all the other powers whether they are local lords or astral masters in order to take over a shard.
Fortunately, Oinor is rather peaceful and unlikely to start war with you until you 2 are the last ones on the shard.
You only need to take their capital to take out an opponent.

Build up your heroes and find out the weaknesses of various guard units.
If you're playing good, swordsmen with a healer or two makes a strong army
Thanks for the reply, i think the biggest problem was the province guards since i didn't have any of my own. I could have used watchmen, local militia or foresters guards in forest provinces but they aren't good enough, also used the adventurers guards on one province. i had conquered 4 shards in turn 3. Think this was shard 5 that there were too many of provinces guards after Oinor keept taking my lands.

Some tips for campaign mode:

- play around a bit in single players games. Get a feel for what buildings are avaiable and which would help you the most. Then aim for those in campaign mode.

- get better guard buildings. you start out with only peasant militia (but only if you build their recruiting station which you shouldn't unless you're evil and need cheap sacrificial fodder) lookout tower(requires swordsmen and crossbowmen) warrior's guild (requires pikemen) or chieftain's tent (requires barbarians and shamans) provide decent early guards. Next step is probably the mercenary's guild (requires merchant's court, inn, stables)

- level up your initial hero and recruit more as money allows. I personally prefer to start with a scout, followed by wizard, commander and warrior. I does depend a bit on what items I find though.

- don't leave too many sites for crystal quests. crystal quests can be nice but they can also be a trap. better take out sites as soon as you find then (provided you can defeat them) for extra cash, gems, items and ofc xp.

- don't bother with shards that don't offer you anything useful. Grab the ones with the buiildings that will help you the most. (stores aren't very important for example and there's little point in getting evil alligned buildings if you're good and vice versa)

- there's an event with a talking phoenix. If you have 500 gold, kill it and make a cloak out of the feathers. This is evil but you get a cloak that gives +1 speed and poison immunity. Perfect for your warrior!

- the diplomacy skill lets you take some provinces without a fight. You may have to cough up some cash though. It will also let you negotiate for alliances with races that otherwise wouldn't because of allignment differences.

- alliances can be very useful. you can get access to a new unit type as well as other benefits depending on the race. they each give access to 3 unique buildings but some might not show up if you don't know their prerequisite buildings yet. Centaurs are a personal favorite of mine because they give you accees to fast cavalry units (tier 2) with a good ranged attack.
So i managed to win this time on the shard i mentioned, used the guards guard that has the lookout tower, managed to get these buildings on tiny shards before i went to the current small shard.
It really wasn't that hard, my warrior got overpowered and i defeated both of the lords on the shard with some tactical outpost placing and storehouse to fix my equpment in provinces for warrior.
Anyway thanks for the tips. Since i am playing good alliance i guess i need good buildings.
