Seems complete to me, the Badland's DLC was the last one.

As other news, I received an answer to the support ticket... and it contained exactly the same answers that timmy010 received:

- The clock sync story (as designed by devs)
- The content is already there, you just need to go online once to activate them

So yeah, there's DRM, but you just need to activate it once !! Isn't this great ?!

Ok thanks. Have fun then.

This is for playing in offline mode only. Using Galaxy could possibly overwrite stuff. Thanks to the guy who calls himself Reducer.

That is NOT true. You also need to use Galaxy, the COMPLETELEY mandatory client.

Well, I suppose it was implied, but was funny the punctualization that "the contents are present both in the offline and galaxy installers"... because yeah, you'll just need Galaxy for both anyway...

Which in fact is the REAL problem here. Going online to download from GOG - nobody has a problem with this. Installing Galaxy to go online to get the content - problematic. Being unable to backup said content which is only accessible using the mandatory Galaxy client in the first way - extreme problem. It's a pity GOG obviously does not even understand their own principles anymore.

1) No Galaxy needed at all.
2) No Galaxy needed for SP content.
3) Galaxy needed only once for acceessing SP content.

So what's next?

No, GOG, I don't expect any feedback since unfortunately your communication skills did not improve one bit since we told the people responsible in person over ONE YEAR ago face to face that they need to improve these.

It's just sad.

is there anything we customers can do? i mean apart from feeling helpless and betrayed by gog. the game itself is great but gog do not believe in drm-free and their service just gets worse and worse. now there exists a game with drm. the manager of drm, gog's own client, galaxy.
You know what ? I did another test for the game... and I confirm too that the contents needs to be unlocked at EVERY NEW GAME !!!

I didn't install the game from scratch, I just did the test with my already installed and already "activated" version with Galaxy.

I just disabled the Galaxy services, started a NEW GAME, and in the stash there was no Badlant's costume...

I enabled again the services, started another NEW GAME, and in the stash there was that costume...

So, it's not a "one time" activation, it's an "every new game" activation.

dying light has 2 save thingies. "profiles" and "save". i merged my save from another computer, while leaving the profile intact and it worked. my question is what happens if you backup the profile, start a new save, restore the profile. can you have a new game with content unlocked?

Check the link I posted earlier. Download that, install it (make backups of files that will be replaced) and start the game offline.

I did not miss your link (thanks for that - I already archived the files from the link). So yes, it would be a workaround. But this does not change the fact that it is not possible to achieve this in a regular way: buy - install - play.

That is indeed true. No idea why most content drops are DRM-free but the final one is locked until you use the Techland Online Servers. It's really stupid.
I was thinking the link was some kind of pirated copy, instead it contains only those 2 little pak files ?!

I'll have a look at the contents maybe in the weekend, now I'm curious to find out what are the files involved.

what do you mean by offline? is galaxy-free lan supported or no internet connection only?

Starting the game without GOG Galaxy running.
