Suggestion: Commandeer command

I think that if I've "cleared" all the rooms of a ship, the Commandeer command should show me the "swap" dialog even if there are still other issues, such as aliens or irradiated rooms.

My reasoning is: Once I've initially cleared all the rooms, the dialog can then show me the "stats" - amount of scarp it holds, the number of slots; the installed mods; the fuel set-up. That's because it should by then know those things (because I've already cleared every room; found the ship mods, etc), even if there are still aliens aboard (that I may have shuffled from room to room); or irradiated rooms (that may have occurred after I've "cleared" them).

It doesn't seem out of "game character" for the Commandeer logic to be able to display those ship stats at that point.

If I like the stats, then I can proceed to clear the aliens or fix whatever is needed to make the swap "do-able" (if I am able).

In Duskers, efficiency is important. I don't want to "waste" resources clearing every last alien just to see the ship stats - I want to see them before deciding to commit the resources to clear those aliens, fix rooms, etc. If I don't care for the stats I might not bother to clear all the aliens, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion! We USED to allow people to pull up the commandeer UI before clear, but then people started using it to cheat to see if there were any more enemies on board. Players (rightly) complained that it also made the game less fun knowing you could peek ahead like that.

Another idea, though, might be providing a way to find out some of that information in the command line, or something. Thanks, I'll add it to the list and see if there's a way we can integrate some of the general ship stats knowledge (how much scrap it holds) w/o giving away too much of the game ;)

Thanks for considering that :)

To be fair, I had already considered the "peeking ahead" aspect of it - and I agree.

That's why you can note I suggested it like this; "Once I've initially cleared all the rooms.." ; IOW, only after I've already been through every room - any aliens not "cleared" have to be because I am aware of them and avoided them via other means (same for stuff like irradiated rooms). Avoiding "peeking ahead" was already on my mind.. :)
