Just had a bug where after completing a ship, I had just typed the command 'exit' and a pop up screen appeared over the home screen (where you select galaxy, universe etc.) titled 'Boot Utility', it had the prompt 'Input selection' but it was essentially frozen as nothing I pushed would do anything, I had to force the game to close (alt f4). when I rebooted the game and tried to play it started a brand new campaign and lost all my progress :-(

Not sure what more information would help you track this bug down but I'm running windows 8.1 and the game was running full screen, resolution 1920 x 1080, I had also towed a ship back to r1 which had modules installed. Hopefully you're already aware of this and a fix is coming (fingers crossed) as losing all your progress is most frustrating!
Had this bug too. Just once. Exiting with F4 helped me.
Had you lost your progress when you booted the game back up? I have not seen the bug again yet so hopefully it is rare (though not so rare the devs are unable to reproduce / fix).
Fortunately, no. Progress was saved after that forced exit but I lost my progress due to another bug. My current solution was wiping the duskers folder from "my docs/my games". Now I'm playing for a long time without any issues. That "boot utility" bug isn't so rare, refering to steam forums.
Hey guys - sorry about this. Whenever you see that, that means something bad happened, and it will be recorded in your log. If you can send that to us (see: https://www.gog.com/forum/duskers/common_support_information), that would be helpful.

Now there IS a known issue that has already been resolved when you 'exit' a ship and get this. That will be in a patch coming out (hopefully) in the next couple of days. The patch is basically done, but QA and testing will happen first. Still feel free to send your log, but this one might already have been taken care of!
Thank you for the response, fingers crossed it's already been fixed but if I come across anymore I'll send the data file through before starting a new game!
