It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Anyone know if this game has any kind of auto-update? Or requires an internet connection for any reason?

Played it for hours last night without a hitch (while connected), and then today, away from the internet, it was crashing on startup, and again just as I completed a mission (after I finally got it to start, obviously.)

My best guess is that something else I'm running is interfering with the game, since it was running fine last night. But I figured I'd confirm that nothing about the game should have been updated without my knowing about it.

Yeah, to my knowledge we haven't pushed an update out. We also shouldn't have anything tied to the inet! If you get the crash again, could you send me the log? I've copied the details, below, from another forum:

LOG FILE
Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Duskers\Duskers_Data\output_log.txt

Mac:
~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

Linux:
~/.config/unity3d/MisfitsAttic/ProductName/Player.log

Important Note: The log files are OVERWRITTEN the next time you start Duskers. Copy/save your log after an issue, and before trying again, to preserve any exception messages that might have been recorded!

Additional Note: If the game CRASHES, there may be an additional log. See the instructions on the crash message for their location on your system.

Even if we suggested that you email us (ex: in reply to your post on a forum) please be so kind as to include a link back to the forume in question. Sometimes it gets tricky remembering which email goes with which player!
For the "crashes" on startup, I'm starting to suspect that I chose a resolution from the startup menu that was larger than my monitor supports; the game has been starting up fine since, and I'm not using the top resolution, but I think I might have been yesterday. So y'know; my bad.

For the crash in gameplay, I forwarded the log to support, but haven't had it reoccur in an hour or so of play. I did reboot the machine, and I'm not running all of the background processes and other windows that I had going the other day. I might try loading up a big fat browser before I play next time, just to give it some contention for memory.

Ok, cool - I appreciate the follow up. Unity (which says what resolutions are available) isn't SUPPOSED to give resolutions your system can't support. However, I wouldn't doubt that could happen.

Always interested in hearing what else you find. Even if yours works, might help tell another player what to do in a similar situation :P

Thanks!
