Would it be possible to implement a gamma adjust setting in the video menu? It would be nice if it could make things brighter/dimmer in real time.

You can actually do that now! Adjust brightness and contrast in the "colors" menu.

I see there is a brightness option, but could there also be a Gamma option like in Quake? Gamma controls the dark and light values. Also for all of the video settings, it would be nice if it would show what the screen would look like in real time. Right now if you adjust the video settings, everything in the menu is pre-dimmed, so you don't know what it will look like during the game.
