This might now be the third game for me that insalls, runs through the opening but fails to do anything beyond the main menu screen and no help from GoG. With the amount of identical posts that many others are having and no response from GoG I'm failing to see why I should bother to purchase from GoG anymore. Have tried all of the suggestions here and none work.

I am having the same problem on my late-2015 iMac running Mac OS 10.12.6. I saw some posts about downloading "Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable,” but that doesn’t seem to be supported on Mac.

I have the same problem. I install Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable x86. Then ok.
