Hi,

Just installed game and tried to play, but when i press campain or skirmish button nothing happens.
Tried this Workarounds but it doesnt work:
Workaround 1: [Windows only]
1. Head to your Steam directory ([your installation folder]\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dungeons2)
2. Create a file "config-priority.cfg"
3. Edit that file and add the line "MonoExe = server\dedicated.server.exe"
4. Start the game normally with your Steam client

Workaround 2:
1. Head to your Steam directory ([your installation folder]\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dungeons2)
2. Open the "server" folder
3. Right click on "dedicated.server.exe" and select "Create shortcut"
4. Right click on the shortcut and select "Properties"
5. Change the Working Directory ("Start in") from "[your installation folder]\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dungeons2\server" to "[your installation folder]\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dungeons2"
6. Start the game
7. In the main menu Alt+Tab out and start the server with your created shortcut
8. Start Campaign
Note: Everytime you're going back to the main menu, you have to use the shortcut again!

Any help?

Ye u have to set windows 7 comp mode worked for me
I'm having this problem too, and Administrator Mode and Windows 7 Compatibility Mode have not helped. (I'm little surprised, but there is such a thing, even on a Windows 7 machine.)

So full version again:
Windows 7 Pro

Game launches fine, going to the Single player menu works. But neither Campaign, skirmish or load game do anything. The first time I hit one of those buttons there is a delay, and then the click, but nothing happens, and there's no delay after that.

I tried the first workaround in the opening post (creating the config file) but that did nothing.

Also just downloaded free version and having the same issue. Tried the Windows compatibility route but didn't produce any results.
Thank you zytwit for finding this!
It didn't help me however. I am running win10pro 64bit.

I got the free version so not much lost, but still. How can this bug that exists since launch!!! still not be fixed. Its not like the steam forums are not discussing this over and over again. Obviously the free giveaway was supposed to be a marketing move for gog and for the developers of dungeons 2. They want people to buy dungeons 3 after all. But how can I even consider buying dungeons 3 if a bug like this has not been fixed since 2015?! Thats almost three years from today.
Windows 10 was released three months after the game launch.

The server thing will immediately crash after I launch it.
Neither the cfg nor the shortcut helped. But thanks anyways for posting this. There are so many posts on the steam forums with developers sometimes asking for log files but never resolving anything that it's way too much work to find any solution.
I have that same problem. Pressing Campaign/Skirmish and nothing happened.
